Frap opens in Toronto this [MONTH]

All the hours she puts in, kept somewhere safe.

Every class, lesson and practice hour — written down by the instructor who was actually there — into one record your child will want to keep opening. Kindergarten to the college application.

“Sat with a losing position for forty minutes rather than resign.” — her chess teacher

The app, in design · [REAL SCREENSHOT AT LAUNCH]

One record, three ages

A six-year-old and a sixteen-year-old open the same app and see completely different things.

The record underneath never resets. What sits on top of it grows up alongside your child — which is why they keep opening it, and why the record keeps filling.

Nice one, Maya!

Explorer

Stickers, streaks and a buddy they pick themselves. A child never sees a price, is never ranked against another child, and can never be messaged by a stranger.

Challenger

Hours start to mean something. Tiers, mastery badges and visible progress — in the years most children quit an instrument, seeing the total is what makes them stay.

Pro

The game recedes and the document comes forward. Total hours, instructor endorsements, and an export that goes into an application looking like what it is — a decade of receipts.

How a record gets written

Nothing goes in unless someone was there.

This is the difference between a Passport and a list your child types out the night before a deadline.

1

The session happens

A term of lessons, a drop-in, a trial class, an online tutoring hour — booked and paid for through Frap.

2

The instructor closes it out

Ten seconds on their phone before they pack up: who was present, who was absent, who was excused. That is what creates a verified hour.

3

It becomes permanent

The hour is written to the Passport and can’t be edited afterwards — not by the instructor, not by you, not by us. A record you can revise isn’t a record.

Safety & verification

The question you actually have is whether this person is safe to leave your child with.

Five checks before an instructor can take a single booking. Each one carries an expiry date, and a lapse goes straight to the top of our review queue.

What an instructor is shown about your child

A first nameA last initialAn age in years

That is the complete list. Frap has no surname field anywhere in it — we never collect one — and an instructor is never shown a date of birth. A field that does not exist can’t be leaked.

For instructors and tutors

If you taught the four years of Tuesdays, you should be the one credited for them.

Frap is built for solo instructors — one person, one profile, no franchise layer. You set your own rate. We handle enrolment, attendance, payment, and the ten-second close-out that writes your name into a child’s permanent record.

Enrolment and paymentno cash envelopes, no chasing a term fee in week four.
